The terms “Anti-bacterial”, “sanitizer”, and “disinfectant” are regulated by the USDS and the EPA, so any cleaner labelled with these terms must do what it claims it can do. The important thing is being able to properly define those terms as a consumer, otherwise, you may be putting your family at risk.

Anti-bacterial cleaners actually don’t eliminate germs, they only suppress the growth and reproduction of bacteria. They only work on bacteria, so if there is a nasty virus going around in your community, anti-bacterial hand soaps and cleaners do NOTHING to safeguard your family.

Mix Dawn dishwashing liquid soap with hydrogen peroxide

Mixing Dawn  dishwashing liquid soap with hydrogen peroxide…then pouring it on the stain and lettting it sit as a presoak. The ingredients will not work alone. You must use them BOTH, together. You’ll  see the red wine and other stains disappear as you drizzle the mixture on a stain! Make sure that the products are fairly new as they aren’t as effective is they are months old. 
We suggest you mix up a new batch for future use! You’ll be amazed. ( note: peroxide will turn  blue dishwashing liquid to a clear color–this won’t reduce its  effectiveness!) With this mixture there is NO NEED for any bleach! Keep on drinking those tasty colored drinks with confidence! Recipe? Well, there is no exact formula. And I always thought it had to be Dawn, so I never  changed the brand. It does not seem to matter what the final mixture ratio is,  except that I always go heavier on the peroxide because that is what is doing  the bleaching. In fact, I keep my bottle of mixture on the washing machine, and I have a bottle of peroxide nearby, so every once in a while I throw some more peroxide in it just to keep it “fresh”.
You can use this formula on clothing and carpeting and also couches. It’s best if you own a Bissell or Rug Doctor to extract the stains out. We believe that any soap will probably work (e.g. rug shampoo for carpets, Woolite  for wool fabrics, dishwashing soap for washables, etc.)We believe the soap will help  make the stain soluble for the peroxide to work. We have noticed that stains will  not budge with peroxide until I applied soap. It doesn’t takes much  soap in any “recipe” to make the peroxide work.
